If you are still looking for a great gift for a fellow pet love, I would highly recommend the book Scared Poopless: The Straight Scoop on Dog Care by Chiclet T. Dog and Jan Rasmusen. Scared Poopless is hands down the best dog care book that I have ever read. While Chiclet and Jiggy, Jan's pups, might be Maltese, Scared Poopless is geared to all dog owners and has value information for all dog owners.
I was shocked many times while reading. Chiclet and Jan debunk many dog care myths. One major topic covered is over vaccination in pets. Jan might not be a Veterinarian, but has done her research and consulted with Vets. Jan's motivation for writing Scared Poopless was her Maltese Jiggy's life-threatening illness. Chiclet and Jan’s website, www.dogs4dogs.com, is also a great resource.
