Our Celebrity Encounter

During my trip to Orlando, FL for the Global Pet Expo, I was able to meet and spend time with my favorite designer behind the Go.Fetch and Toni Mari brands, Desiree. It was almost like meeting a celebrity for me because I'm such a huge fan of Go.Fetch and Toni Mari. Unfortunately, only Exhibitors could bring their dogs to Expo, but I really wanted Des to meet Maggie and Abbie. So Saturday afternoon my sweet fiance drove up with Maggie and Abbie.

If it is possible, I'm now an even bigger fan of Go.Fetch and Toni Mari. Desiree is such a sweet person with amazing creative talent. We had such a good time together, it was sad when it was time for Desiree to leave.

Maggie and Abbie for course had to wear Go.Fetch creations with beautiful matching bows from M'Lady's Dog Bows.

Pet Lovers Heaven=Global Pet Expo

I arrived home Sunday from attending the Global Pet Expo in Orlando, Florida. The Expo was so much fun and best of all I was able to meet many for our Facebook friends like Melissa (bark.sniff.drool blog), Susan (Melissa' Mom), Rebecca, Nikki (obsessive chihuahua disorder blog), Maggie (Luv My Furbaby), and Desiree (Go.Fetch/Toni Mari). There were so many exhibitors at Global...it was a bit overwhelming. I attended all three days, Thursday - Saturday, and I still missed some booths. I came home with so many goodies....so great ready for lots of product reviews coming up!

Dog Behavior Seminar

Friday evening for our date, my fiance and I attended a Dog Behavior Seminar at Lucky Dog Sports Club in Jupiter, FL. The seminar was given by Dr. Lisa Radosta, Board-Certified Veterinary Behaviorist. The purpose of the seminar was to learn what you dog is really saying by learning the secret language of dogs. Some of the things Harry and I learned were how dogs show friendliness, fear or stress as well as what our dogs are actually trying to tell us and other dogs. It was so amazing to learn all the signals our dogs give us that we miss. They really do have their own language. I would highly recommend this seminar to anyone in the Palm Beach county area.

Dr. Radosta recommends a dvd for those who can't make it to her seminar called The Language of Dogs by Sarah Kalnajs. Here is a link: http://www.dogwise.com/itemdetails.cfm?ID=DTB875P

Making New Friends

On Sunday, Harry and I drove up to meet my friend Michele and two beautiful Maltese Tiny and Holly! Oh my goodness, we had the best time! All the girls got along great! It was like they I know Michele and I were both in Maltese heaven being with our four lovely girls!

Michele and her two lovelies Tiny and Holly are the sweetest! It was so awesome to meet another Maltese Momma so devoted to her pups! It was so hard to leave! Maggie, Abbie and myself didn't want the fun to end. The pups were all so cute together. I call Holly and Abbie twinnies because they are both just about the same size. Maggie really looked up to Tiny. It was so precious, Maggie would follow Tiny around and always had to know where Tiny was. All the while their Mommies chatted and exchanged tips.

Check out some pictures:

Bark In The Park

Today was the Bark In The Park event. It was held at John D. MacArthur Beach State Park and lucky the weather held. I only took Maggie with as my better half was out of town. To make it up to Abbie, I took her by Woof Gang Bakery for treats. Maggie had an amazing time at Bark In The Park. She was such a good girl too. Maggie also received lots of compliments on her Tutu Harness from Tickled Pink Boutique.

There were lots of great vendors at Bark In The Park. One of our favorite local stores had a booth Haute Hound. The Haute Hound's owner Kimberly was running the booth. She had the cutest items even some from one of our favorite designers Toni Mari.

Then, there was an adorable fashion put on by Doggie Fashion Shows. It was so fun to watch. The fashion was highlight of Bark In The Bark.

After the fashion show there was a fun game of musical chairs for dogs and owners. The owners had to put their dogs in a sit-stay before they could grab a chair. We didn't participate because Maggie was a bit over-stimulated at this point, but it was fun to watch.

After all of this, Maggie was exhausted. She was totally out. It was so cute. She looked up for one photo and that was it.

Hallmark's A Dog Named Christmas

"All are encouraged to tune in to the Hallmark Hall of Fame world premiere of A DOG NAMED CHRISTMAS on Sunday, November 29 at 9/8c only on CBS. "

"In honor of the Hallmark Hall of Fame world premiere of A DOG NAMED CHRISTMAS, we're helping Petfinder.com give every dog adoption story a happy ending.

This holiday season, Petfinder.com is kicking off the first ever “Foster A Lonely Pet For the Holidays” program in conjunction with the movie A DOG NAMED CHRISTMAS. Based on Greg Kincaid's popular novel, it's a touching story about a developmentally challenged young man who names his adopted dog Christmas and sets out to convince the whole town to participate in a local animal shelter's inaugural “Adopt a Dog for Christmas Program.”

Similarly, Petfinder.com is working with more than 2,000 shelters and rescue groups across North America to give families a chance to adopt a pet this holiday season."

Halloween Events! Lots of pictures!

Maggie and Abbie have been very busy. There were so many Halloween events this week and weekend. Thursday, October 29th was the 2nd Annual Halloween Hair Ball in West Palm Beach hosted by PetNet. It was a great event with amazing turn-out. I was very impressed by some of the costumes.

Yappy Hour- Halloween

Tonight was Yappy Hour at The Pampered Pup. The theme was Halloween, of course. There was an amazing turn out. I don’t think they could fit any more people or pups in the boutique. It was so fun seeing all the dogs dressed up in costume. There were so great costumes. Unfortunately, I forgot to grab my camera as we ran out the door. I was so bummed.

Maggie and Abbie were both totally exhausted after Yappy Hour. As soon as they got in their car seat, they were out cold. I was going to snap a few of Maggie and Abbie in their costumes after, but they were way too tired for that. Maggie went as Cinderella and Abbie went as Snow White. The costumes are by Chloe Bella Pet Boutique and we love them. The bows are by M’Lady’s Dog Bows and are a perfect match.

The only picture I could get of them looking up

Haute Hound's 5th Annual I-Scream Halloween Social

This afternoon my fiancĂ© and I took Maggie and Abbie to the Haute Hound’s 5th Annual I-Scream Halloween Social. There was a great turn out. All the pups looked super cute in their costumes. Maggie being the diva she is wouldn’t stop barking until we put her down so she could socialize with the other pups. Abbie, the total opposite of her sister, was very happy watching all the action from my arms. The Haute Hound had lots of yummy goodies from people and pups. It was a great event! There was a costume contest which was pretty intense since there were so many great costumes. Maggie and Abbie didn’t win, but everyone loved their costumes. Maggie was Snow White and Abbie was Tinkerbelle. Both Maggie and Abbie’s costumes were from Chloe Bella Pet Boutique and bows were from M’Lady’s Dog Bows. I would definitely recommend both Chloe Bella and M’Lady’s Dog Bows as I have ordered from both many times and am always more than happy with my items and the customer service I have received. It was so hard to be good at the Haute Hound and not buy everything. The Haute Hound has such an awesome selection. All proceeds from the Haute Hound’s 5th Annual I-Scream Halloween Social when to Safe Harbor Animal Sanctuary and Hospital, which a great cause that does so much for animals in Palm Beach County.

These photos are from after the event…so the girls are bit messy, but still very cute!

I didn’t take any photos at the event as there was photographer,Tom Brodigan, there. I will post a link to his on-line proofs once they are up. I’m sure he took some really cute shots.
